Borneo Bound

No posts here for the next week as I’m away in Borneo on assignment for Asian Diver magazine, visiting the island resort of Lankayan in search of whale sharks. No doubt I’ll be writing something very excited about it when I get back.

NB: If you’re looking for more info about scuba diving in Borneo, check my series of articles on Divehappy.com. I’ve reported on many of the key dive destinations there: Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai, Mataking, Lankayan, Mantanani and, of course, Kota Kinabalu.

And: if you’re looking for a copy of Lonely Planet Borneo, it doesn’t actually exist, as Borneo is split between Malaysia and Indonesia. Most of the major dive destinations fall within Malaysian Borneo, and so can be found in Lonely Planet Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. That caused me a few problems first time round…
