Link Dump: Travel Sites

World 66 is an impressive travel guide site built on the same model as Wikipedia – i.e. anyone can add and edit the content that already exists on each page. There’s a pretty huge amount of info here already, ideal for browsing before you go and adding to when you come back.

For light relief, there’s also Google Sightseeing, which takes you round the world via Google Maps. “Why bother seeing the world for real?”

Tuttle Publishing has a comprehensive set of often lavishly produced books about South East Asian topics. Founder Charles E. Tuttle (1915-1993) created the imprint in Tokyo in 1948. His mission was to publish “books to span the East and West.”
