A series of minimalist watercolours inspired by the fantastical roofs of Thai temples. American-French architect Eric Tilbury has created some quite beautiful paintings that find the hidden geometry in Thailand’s sacred buildings which would seem at first glace to be the absolute opposite of minimalism. Tilbury’s site has a complete gallery of the watercolours which work well together viewed collectively – they have a distinct culmative effect. Clearly those who visited his January exhibition thought the same – the buggers bought every single painting available. Sigh.
